Offload & Delivery Explained

Getting a pallet off the lorry. Sheet materials are heavy and come on pallets, so how they're unloaded matters. When you order, we ask a few questions about your site so we send the right vehicle — you don't choose it, we do, based on your answers.

Offload options

  • Forklift on site — you have a forklift/telehandler to take the pallet. Fastest and cheapest.
  • Tail-lift — the lorry lowers the pallet to the ground on a powered platform; needs firm, level access.
  • HIAB / Moffett — a lorry-mounted crane (HIAB) or truck-mounted forklift (Moffett) that places the pallet where you need it. Best for restricted access or no on-site machinery.

Kerbside vs on-site

  • Kerbside — delivered to the nearest safe point at the roadside; you move it from there.
  • On-site — placed within the site where access allows (typically with HIAB/Moffett).

What we need from you

At checkout, tell us your postcode, access notes, offload method, where you want it placed, a delivery window and a site contact. Accurate answers mean the right truck turns up and nothing gets refused on the day.
